Asphalt Paving in Denton, NC

Denton sits at the south end of Davidson County, about twenty miles down NC-109 from Lexington — farm country, long driveways, and a lot of gravel fighting the weather.

Twenty miles down 109

It's roughly a twenty-mile, twenty-five-minute run from our yard to Denton on NC-109 — still our home county, still a local job. The ground is more open down here and the drives are longer, which shifts the work toward grading, drainage, and gravel about as often as hot mix.

Tractor country

Denton FarmPark has hosted the Southeast Old Threshers' Reunion every year the week of the Fourth since 1970 — the largest antique tractor and engine show in the Southeast. That's a fair description of the area generally: working land, heavy equipment, and driveways that carry more than a couple of sedans. We build for it with a compacted stone base, a proper crown, and ditches and culverts that actually carry water.

Good to Know

Common questions in Denton

Is Denton too far out for you?

Not at all. Denton is in Davidson County, about twenty miles down NC-109, and estimates there are free like everywhere else we work.

My gravel drive washes out every storm. Can that be fixed?

Usually, yes — and usually the fix is drainage, not more stone. Re-establishing the crown so water sheds to the sides, plus clearing or installing ditches and culverts, solves most washouts.

Can you pave a driveway that trucks and equipment use?

Yes. Heavier loads need a thicker compacted base and the right asphalt depth. We'll spec it during the free on-site estimate rather than guessing at it.

Ready for a smooth new surface?
